East African Crowned Crane
This tall, graceful bird is found mainly in eastern sections of Africa. They prefer wetlands, marshes and even open grasslands. These birds will stomp through their feeding grounds to chase their prey from hiding. They feed mainly on seeds, insects and small amphibians requiring a specially formulated feed in captivity to keep them healthy.
