Fallow Deer
Fallow Deer originally inhabited forests throughout Southern Europe and Asia but have been introduced to many parts of the world. They vary in color from nearly white to nearly black with or without spots. They weigh between 100 to 180 pounds. They are considered semi-domestic as they have been bred for the hunting preserves of royalty for several hundred years. They feed mainly on grasses, berries, nuts and twigs.
