Emu
Emus are large, flightless birds of the ratite family. They inhabit the plains and open forests of Australia. Emus reach a height of 5 to 6 feet tall and weigh between 80 and 120 pounds. They are extremely fast and can run in bursts of speed up to 30mph. Active during the day, Emus feed on fruits, flowers, insects, seeds and vegetation.
