Macaw
The Scarlet Macaw ranges from tropical Mexico to Bolivia. The Blue and Gold Macaw are found from Panama to Argentina. Macaws usually live in pairs and a number of pairs may congregate to form a flock of several hundred individuals. They are monogamous and usually nest in the tops of hollow trees. Their diet consists of fruits, seeds, nuts, leaves and bark, sometimes feeding on insects or small animals.
